Unique 2023
I connect my improvisation with the place and what is happening in that moment. Within myself and in the place, connected to thematic questions or completely absorbed in improvisation. Open to the NOW with all my senses and ready for change. My trademark, an old black umbrella with a hand-sewn border of Belgian lace. It is a symbol of positivity.
This artwork depicts a self-staging in front of the church in Ivenack, not far from a lake. The remains of the castle wall, shaped like a gate without borders, symbolize a closed door to heaven.
It lies upside down on the ground in front of me, and I reach out my hand towards it. In front of the closed church door, a black figure. The grieving widower. For him, his happiness is locked away forever. Unlike my other nature performances, this one addresses the end of an era and the loss of a fellow artist.
After the initial exhibitions, I sealed the surface of the painting. Outdoors, in nature, its architectural language resonates even more intensely, as the motifs engage in a dialogue with the natural world.
I deliberately chose this work for the exhibition in Madrid.
For family reasons, I explored the role of the Church under Francoism and its position within society and the education system.

Segnalati Project
curated by Salvatore Russo
Segnalati is far more than an editorial and exhibition project: it is a highprofile cultural platform, a privileged prism through which to observe and recognize the most deserving talents on the international art scene.
Conceived and curated by Salvatore Russo, an influential art critic and a leading intellectual in the field, the project represents a coveted milestone for artists who aspire to position themselves within a selective and authoritative context, where quality, vision, and uniqueness are indispensable criteria.
After having reached some of the most important cities in the world, the 2026 edition will arrive in Madrid, consecrating the Spanish capital as the new protagonist of one of the most significant and anticipated international showcases of contemporary art. An event that once again confirms the cultural impact and driving force of an initiative capable of merging publishing, criticism, and cura torial planning.
Being included in the Segnalati 2026 volume means obtaining an undeniable acknowledgment of aesthetic and professional value: only 65 artists, carefully selected by Salvatore Russo in collaboration with a qualified scientific committee, will be admitted to the publication and to the official exhibition.
The exhibition will be held at the prestigious ESPACIO JOVELLANOS gallery in Madrid, turning the selection into a true curatorial achievement, as well as a concrete opportunity for visibility and critical recognition within the international circuit.
Segnalati 2026 is therefore not merely a presence in a catalog: it is a symbolic passport to a new level of recognition, a declaration of belonging to a cultural elite where art is not simply seen, but chosen, recognized, and consecrated.
